Celebrate your farming and/or ranching heritage by bringing a piece of prairie history into your home!
(Inspired by my good friend Joe.) Each piece is made from 50+ year-old, salvaged fence posts. Each is intended to pay a small tribute to farmers and ranchers and recognize the sacrifices they made to build the Alberta that we all enjoy today. The grey weathered surface symbolizes years of service; the scorched area symbolizes some of the hardship and challenges faced; the rich-coloured inside symbolizes endurance and strength of character. The finished items often include natural defects, nail holes, rusty staples or pieces of barbed wire—another reminder of the post’s heritage.
